1. About this directory
locklist.co.uk (we/us/our), operated by notremarque ltd, runs a website that lets customers search for and contact local locksmiths. We are not a locksmith ourselves and we do not provide, arrange, or take payment for any locksmith work.
These terms govern your use of the website and, for locksmiths, the subscription service. By using the website you accept these terms.
2. Using the directory as a customer
- Searching is free. You are not required to create an account to search.
- Listings show information supplied by each locksmith, including prices. Prices are the locksmith’s own rates and may change; confirm the final price with the locksmith before booking.
- When you contact a locksmith you are dealing directly with them. Any contract for work is between you and the locksmith. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for the quality, cost, or outcome of any work.
- We review new listings and may remove or disable any listing that breaches these terms, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any listing.
3. Locksmith subscriptions
To be listed, a locksmith agrees to pay a monthly subscription. The current price and any free trial are shown at sign-up and in the dashboard.
- The subscription renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal (Stripe).
- During a free trial no payment is taken until the trial ends.
- Your listing goes live when your first payment is processed and may be reviewed by us. We may disable a listing if it breaches these terms.
- There are no per-job commissions or per-lead fees.
4. Your obligations as a locksmith
- Provide accurate, honest information about your business, services, and prices.
- Keep your details up to date.
- Do not use the directory to mislead, scam, or harm customers.
- Comply with all laws applicable to your work.
5. Cancellation and suspension
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, after which your listing will be removed.
We may suspend or remove a listing immediately if we reasonably believe it breaches these terms, is fraudulent, or puts customers at risk. You may contact us to appeal.
6. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider, and are subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full card details.
7. Our liability
We provide the website “as is” and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, exclude all warranties and liability for: the accuracy of listings; any contract or work between you and a locksmith; and loss or damage arising from your use of the website.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use the website to: break any law; harass or harm anyone; submit false or misleading information; interfere with the website; or attempt to access data you are not authorised to see.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified on the website. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
